Who is it for?
The Falcons Program is for German-speaking students in Year 7 to 12 who want to develop their language skills to native speaker level.
Requirements
Entry with:
- Goethe A2, or
- A completed native speaker primary school program (e.g. the Sparrows Program)
Classes are taught entirely in German.
Program Goals
In the Falcons Program, young people deepen their German skills at a high level:
- Building a very advanced vocabulary
- Fostering enjoyment of the German language
- Meeting peers who are also native speakers
- Targeted preparation for the Goethe certificates B1, B2 and C1
- Building skills that open the door to studying in German-speaking countries
- Support for the VCE exam in German (level B1–B2)
Classes & Content
Lessons include varied reading, writing and language tasks, supported by a modern textbook and digital media:
- Interactive language and grammar exercises
- Text analysis & writing practice
- Discussion rounds & presentations
- Listening comprehension, vocabulary and expression exercises
- Weekly homework to consolidate learning
Time & Place
Mondays, 5:00–6:30 pm Toorak Primary School, Melbourne
The school is within walking distance of:
- Toorak Station and Hawksburn Station
- Tram routes 58 and 72
Parents can use the time for shopping on Toorak Road – or meet for a coffee while the teenagers are in class.
